If you remember from my last letter, Dancing, Serving, and Gunfire , God allowed some enemy bullets to penetrate my Subaru to demonstrate the impact and power of God’s prayers through me. Not only that, but His mighty hand of protection was witnessed as bullets that should have hit me were miraculously stopped. Feel free to read my last blog on my website www.hooley4christ.com. I haven’t written since then due to the next glorious incident of persecution when someone broke into my car and stole my macbook and many other things while I was in Denver. Perfect peace that passes all understanding overflowed my mind. God is not only my Protector and Peace giver, but also my Provider; so in His perfect timing, I now have a laptop upon which I can write more emails to you. Praise the Lord. God is good!
After a wondrous road trip from Missouri through Kansas, Colorado, and Utah, I drove back into beautiful Idaho. God’s Subaru became a tabernacle of David and a university classroom as we continued to fellowship together along the meandering highways and byways. Out of His unending faithfulness, He blessed me with a jaw-dropping midnight backcountry snowboarding excursion upon a 12,000-foot peak! After jumping off mountain cliffs, soaking in natural hot springs, and driving through Utah canyons, God continued to pour His blessing over me as I joyfully reunited with family and friends in McCall.
The two months I’ve been back in Idaho have zoomed by with inexpressible joy and ministry opportunities daily! From camps to conferences to road trips to Bible studies and beyond, God has unceasingly orchestrated divine appointments in an answer to my prayers to be seen as a bright and shining light in a dark world! The overpowering beauty of fulfillment in the Lord’s will is beyond the greatest blessing imaginable. My time of consecration at the International House of Prayer for the winter was crucial in my own healing and even understanding of the Good News. My intimate relationship with the living man Jesus Christ through the person of the Holy Spirit in me has caused me to madly fall in love with my King and coming Bridegroom. By God’s grace, I wholeheartedly pursue a fasted lifestyle of surrendered lovesickness for the One who has sacrificed it all for me. The authenticity of the Good News proclaimed in the New Testament has become a living reality in me.
Puzzle pieces of all sorts have miraculously “clicked” together within a super short time period, and God is leading a Backpacker’s Discipleship Training School through me this summer. Today is officially the first day of the BDTS. For the next 3 months, we will be intermittently backpacking into the Sawtooths and White Clouds with our Bibles in search of life-transforming truth. As students of the Word, we will allow the Father heart of God to mold us into the likeness of His perfect Son Jesus as we consecrate ourselves in the wilderness.
By early September, Lord-willing, I will be flying to the remote country of Mongolia to be led by the Holy Spirit in the numerous ministry opportunities there. It will be 2 months of self-sacrificing missionary work among God’s Mongolian children in Ulaanbaatar and the surrounding villages. I tell you this, not just to update you, but to ask for your prayer support as we are pioneering this first-ever backpacking “Bible school of sorts” here at YWAM Idaho. As I listen to my heavenly Father’s voice and obey, I am passionately pursuing the lifestyle of a full-time world missionary. I ask that you would prayerfully consider giving monthly support to the Lord’s work in and through me. Please ask the Lord how you can be a part of the united body of Christ in your giving.
From an eternal citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, a lovesick friend of the Bridegroom, a brother in Christ, and a carrier of the Good News of salvation, I thank you and bless you in the name of Jesus.
Until the Glorious day our lovesick Bridegroom Jesus returns as Judge and King, may God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace.
