"Through 22 years of growth, God has called me to wholeheartedly pursue a fasted lifestyle of surrendered lovesickness. God has an intense fire burning and growing in me, an unstoppable zeal, and unending love for Jesus. I am a sojourner on earth, an eternal citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, a forerunner, and a watchman preparing the way for the glorious and imminent return of Jesus,
by sharing the Gospel as a world missionary."

Off to Mongolia....

Yet another adventurous season of my life has passed as I am beginning the transition from America to Asia. The training phase of the Backpacker’s DTS is coming to a close as we just got back from our last backpacking trip. As many of you know from my previous update letter Walking With Inexpressible Joy God is leading a YWAM Backpacker’s Discipleship Training School through me this year. I intend to write a brief summary of what the Lord has done in the last 3 months and where He’s leading me in the next three.

Beginning on June 28th, I’ve had the awesome opportunity, privilege, honor, and joy to be backpacking with three other guys who love and want more of Jesus! We’ve had several internationally known speakers come and teach God’s Word while spending time in His creation. God has been with us as we backpacked through the Sawtooth and White Cloud Mountains of Idaho, kayaked down the Payette River, seen over 50 high alpine lakes, floated in the Great Salt Lake, caught dozens of fish, white water rafted down the Salmon River, summated Thompson Peak (10,751 feet) and Castle Peak (11,815 feet), and quite a bit more!

We have all grown in a much deeper and more intimate relationship with our heavenly Father and our friend Jesus. God is providing the grace and strength to walk the path of humility, live the life of purity, and run the race set before us. God has allowed some fruit of our lives to be seen, and has promised a hundred fold more. He has set ablaze the burning passion to wholeheartedly live out the Great Commission as we are embarking on the Lord’s path to Mongolia.

Monday, September 14th, we will be on a 19-hour plane trip to South Korea, a 15 hour layover in Seoul, then another flight to Beijing, three days at Tienemen Square, then a day of taxis, buses, trains, and jeeps to UlaanBataar, Mongolia! For the next two and a half months, we will be following the Lord’s leading throughout the remote country of Mongolia serving, evangelizing, teaching, discipling, and helping God’s children there. Please be in prayer for safety and more importantly many opportunities for the Gospel to spread rapidly and receptively.
I will actually be staying in China after the B-DTS ends to further surrender my will and open my life for the use of my Father. I don’t know where I’ll be staying, what I’ll be eating, where I’ll be going, or what I’ll be doing, but I know my God is a sovereign God and I can trust Him for direction. I’m passionately excited as I have been delighting myself in the Lord, and He has faithfully been giving me the desires of my heart!

It’s tough, it’s stretching, it’s giving up comforts, and it’s spontaneous, but it’s what God has called me to. Please keep me in your prayers as often as you can spare, and pray that every single tid bit of glory goes directly to the eternal King who is worthy! Shoot me an email…I’d love to hear from you!

Until the Glorious day our lovesick Bridegroom Jesus returns as Judge and King, may God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace.
