As unbelievable as it may sound, the Backpackers Discipleship Training School of 2010 is on it's final debrief week back at our YWAM base in Cascade Idaho! Our outreach team in Mongolia embarked on the long journey from the most remote capital in the world down to the Chinese border by minibus, train, and then a sleeper bus and taxi down to Beijing, a quick layover in Tokyo, and finally arrived in Seattle the same exact time and day we left Beijing....how does that work!?! Our India team traveled by train from far north Himachel Pradesh to Delhi, enjoyed some Korean food in Seoul, and also arrived in Seattle. We rested for a day, drove back to Idaho the next, and are now unpacking different worlds at our beloved train Depot. God greeted us this morning with a stupendously gorgeous sunrise!
Our last weeks in Asia included traveling north to Erdenet, working on a house construction project for a missionary, showing Mongolian countryside pictures to youth groups, sharing testimonies at churches, hosting a Bible study with a sex-trafficking ministry, sharing the Gospel while teaching English at a Christian Cafe, teaching about creation using fun art supplies with cute kids at an orphanage, and praying over some land for a future ministry! (I will more accurately describe that ministry in my next update letter.)

Quite possibly my favorite is our very last two days in China. We connected with a ministry that provides a shelter and a job with exploited women formerly in bondage to prostitution in the sex trafficking industry. They had just moved to a new location and needed some burly God-fearing guys to move furniture, build shelves, and set up computers. We arrived just in time, and before we knew it, we were installing fresh copies of Windows, networking all the computers, and setting up wireless servers...all in CHINESE! that was fun! A necessary fun as none of the women could do any of the work we were doing. We ended up finishing our last missions work on outreach around midnight, at the airport by 4am, and were flying to Tokyo by 7am! Nothing like serving God's movement in Asia until the last minute! They thanked us with song and smile.
Last but definitely not least was our adventure with God climbing the Great Wall of China! We simply had a blast as an outreach team just hangin out in perfect weather, perfect temperature, perfect day, and perfect sunset. God was speaking unconditional love to each one of us through His magnificent creation surrounding the Great Wall. It's most assuredly crisp air here in Idaho and snowing beautifully as I type. I am without question in complete awe of our Creator and Savior. We have seen Him both in creation and living through us in Asia these past three months. So many stories of His power, faithfulness, and love. I should have my next update out around Thanksgiving letting you know where God is leading me next.

Awesome stuff! I did not realize that Cascade, Idaho had a YWAM base. My husband's family lives there. I happened to come across your blog as I was searching people who read Bill Johnson's books. My husband has helped to start two schools of supernatural ministry using Bethel Church's curriculum. Anyway, it's awesome to hear that there are love-filled, passionate believers in Cascade! ; ) God bless you.
