WHY NEPAL? Because God must have intertwined several extra strands of ADVENTURE around the DNA of my Purpose! He has led me to join a pioneering team for the first cross-cultural YWAM BSN (Bible School for the Nations) in Pokhara, Nepal. The BSN is very similar to the Bible School we led at YWAM Idaho this last spring, but has some DNA that is incredibly complimentary to God's vision for Mongolia. It's primarily focused on teaching Genesis to Revelation to local leaders so they can therefore teach God's Word to their community. So I'll be on staff in Pokhara teaching God's Word to Nepalese through the winter. I've saved the best news for last... my brother CALEB is joining the adventure! An adventure that will most assuredly include some trekking through the Himalayas and maybe even a glimpse of Mt. Everest!
It seems like a fast transition, but months of prayers, confirmations, and peace have laid the foundation for this next stepping stone. As Christ puts it, "The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak." By God's grace, I've endured a slight case of shingles causing back pain since arriving in Idaho. Doctor's conclusion was from not sleeping for a week (worst jet-lag I've ever had). After this last restful thanksgiving week hunting & camping in the woods with my awesome family, I'm fully recovered and ready for Nepal. Praise the Lord!
