Fasten your Feelings my Fellow Friends & Fantabulous Family to Fulfill Freedom and Foolish Fun while Frolicking through a Fragrant Forest with Fascinating Friskiness this weekend!!! Truly, truly, I tell you, I often write with flowery vocabulary and ridiculous Zachisms. I hope you know by now this brings Joy to both my heart and the heart of my Heavenly Father; I pray the simple discombobulation of words within my update phenomenons brings a smile to your heart and a sparkle in your eye! If I haven’t fried your brain yet, please read on to enlighten your curiosity regarding my summer........
I am still alive! I am still serving in Youth With A Mission. I am still in Idaho. I am still wholeheartedly pursuing a fasted lifestyle of surrendered lovesickness for Jesus! I will always remember summer 2011 as a season of blessings and sunshine. God has faithfully provided His grace as I’ve grown in character leading this Bible school that began in June. For the past three months, we have been diligently and chronologically walking through the Word of God. We began with Genesis in June, and I’m now preparing teaching notes for Revelation! Our Bible School in the Mountains has been full of mind-boggling revelations and challenging applications. We are pursuing the Truth, and the truth is setting us free! (John 8:32) I’ve had the honor of spending this season with a few other like-minded world-changers who have also forsaken all to draw near to God. Despite the busyness of this summer, I’ve been fueled by the everlasting & intimate Love of God! Reading the Bible cover to cover truly affirms the reality of God’s specific Love for each of His children. His Love truly is the fuel that empowers us to Love Him wholeheartedly and then share His Love with a lost & dying world. Amongst the many hours behind a Bible, we’ve also intentionally applied the principle of Sabbath during our weekends. Many camping escapades, lots of fishing, and abundant hammock time have enabled genuine rest throughout this season.
We’ve had our fair share of death-defying adventure as well. We embarked on an unforgettable road-trip to Colorado to meditate upon the atonement of Christ! During our stay with the Geiger family, I milked a cow, rode a horse, and climbed Pike’s Peak! Genuine worship flowed from my heart, even through the 20+ hours of driving back to Idaho immediately there-afterwards! I cannot share every adventurous tale in this short update, so I’ll move unto what’s coming up next for me...
Everything we’ve been pursuing this summer culminates in the sacrifices of sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout Asia. October 3rd marks the transition point into a whole other world truly suffering without Jesus. We’ve been preparing a BELT (Biblical Education & Leadership Training) Outreach to Bhutanese Leaders requesting the Gospel in northern India.
