God is so incomprehensibly faithful in loving the whole world! We have seen Him do so many astounding things these past few weeks. I can truly repeat the words of the Apostle John in chapter 21 "I suppose that if all the other things Jesus did were written down, the whole world could not contain the books." So I'll try my best to update you and bring the most glory to God in a timely fashion...
After many amazing traveling experiences, adapting to the Mongolian culture, and doing the ministries God placed in front of us in UlaanBataar, Steve, Andy, Lucas, and I embarked on a journey not to be soon forgotten. God brought us from all parts of the globe to the Backpacker's DTS for the unique task of spreading the Gospel throughout the countryside of Mongolia. I first met Bayaraa last year in Colorado of all places and found God had called him and his family to another country. After our brief visit over lunch, I jokingly said "Maybe we'll meet in your home country Mongolia someday!" One of our contacts here knew somebody who knew somebody who has a friend who might know somebody who could translate for us but he may be out of the country. I called him anyhow and met the following day to find it was Bayaraa! He had just finished a YWAM School of Strategic Evangelism to the unreached and wasn't gone because his wife had become pregnant and their plans changed a bit. Not only had God planned this outreach before the foundations of the world, but He allowed me to see the beginnings of it in Colorado last year!
Kheartla, our perfect, God-appointed driver, is a whole other wondrous story of God's awesomeness! Andy shared his testimony at a men's group our second week in Mongolia and God spoke right through him to an older man who was there. Long story short, he committed his entire life to Jesus that day. Our driver came to pick us up our first day of the journey into the countryside, and it was the same man! By the end of the trip, he had heard us proclaim the Gospel over and over again, and was evangelizing himself. In fact just today, he brought in some random people from the town we're staying in and we all shared the Gospel with them. They left several hours later saying they were going home to throw away their Buddhist gods and idols and confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
God has done a profound and miraculous work in the hearts of the Mongolian nomads these past two weeks. They were incredibly open to the Good News of entering into an eternal relationship with Jesus. We shared our purpose of sharing the truth. They simply replied "tell me more about this Jesus..." We each shared what the Lord wanted to speak through us. They asked questions. God answered through us perfectly, and over a dozen people openly asked Jesus to forgive them, confessed Him as the One and Only true God, and eagerly desired a personal relationship with Him!!! When we finished praying with an older woman, she looked up and said with such excitement "Jesus just took away all my wrong things!" Later she said she wanted to pray to Jesus always!
Many of you who have been supporting us enabled us to distribute dozens of Bibles, New Testaments, and Children's Bibles and we pray the Word of God will draw the hundreds of people we visited closer to God. Many were so close to salvation; they just wanted to read the gospels of Jesus' life first; so I know many more will be saved in the coming weeks. It's been an epic, Jesus-centered, evangelism adventure across the Mongolian countryside! So many were open to the Gospel and the Kingdom of God has indeed expanded! Enduring the milk fat salt tea, fermented horse milk, intestine dumplings, yak liver, sheep fat, horse tongue, and goat intestines filled with dried blood; along with non-stop bumpy roads, frigid temperatures, and snow storms was ENTIRELY worth the harvest of salvation God provided!!!!!
Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks as we shouted "Baeiestea" (Bye) to our new brothers and sisters in Christ. We then asked God to direct our path where He had gone before us and prepared more open hearts. The Mongolian families were so outstandingly hospitable as they received all of us into their ger homes and let us cover their floors with our sleeping bags each night. One night, as I poured water over my toothbrush, it froze instantly! I awoke another morning before daybreak to watch the beautiful sunrise illuminate the 200 camels outside the ger. Joy was uncontainable. God has fulfilled so many personal promises in this trip. Thank you for all your prayers for protection, unity, health, love, divine appointments, strength, guidance, peace, and salvation. They are being answered daily! Please continue to pray as I will be in Asia a little over a month longer. By the grace and will of God, I'm here as a living sacrifice and a surrendered vessel longing for the love and power of God to flow through me more than anything else the world has to offer.
Until ALL have heard, even the remote Mongolian nomadic children of God,
